Held at National Youth Council’s Skate Park, the Candlelight Memorial 2001 drew a solemn crowd of more than 400 people. A beautiful candle display graced the foot of the stage. T’ang Quartet guest performed and their enchanting music filled the air.

The 2002 Candlelight Memorial was made possible thanks to a $10,000 donation from Madonna Condoms. We are thankful to Ms Lily Yanti Tan and Ms Jackie Khoo from PSC (Singapore) Ltd, Mr Paul Liang, Marketing Director, NR Synergy Sdn Bhd (Brand owners of MADONNA CONDOMS) for their generous support.

AfA is also grateful to the Inter Religious Organisation of Singapore for their continued support. Special thanks to Ven Shi Ming Yi, President of IRO for delivering IRO’s message of support and care.

The Candlelight memorial is a poignant reminder of the growing threat of HIV/AIDS in Singapore and a call to each and every Singaporean to continue the fight against this disease and to support those who are infected and affected by it.
