Art Against AIDS 2006

Local (Updated: 01 Aug 2006)

Action for AIDS, Singapore (AfA) today announced the launch of this year’s national Art Against AIDS competition. This competition is one of AfA’s key events in their calendar of outreach and educational events. This year, and in keeping with the times, the competition has gone digital.

Art Against AIDS uses art to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and encourages community participation in HIV/AIDS prevention in Singapore – particularly among the youth.

For the first time, the competition will cover 4 categories: digital photography, animation, video and graphic design. Participants are encouraged to make a strong statement – and visual impact – about HIV/AIDS by creating their own original digital media works.
