You can now get tested for HIV or AIDS at a neighbourhood or office compound nearby.
The Mobile testing Service (MTS) will be deployed with two trained health-care workers on board, who will administer the test and provide counselling services.
Action for AIDS's president, Professor Roy Chan, said that the aim of the MTS is to make HIV testing more accessible and to address the fear that people have of being recognised when getting tested at clinics.

The Launch of the Mobile Testing Services by Action for AIDS means it is now easier to get a HIV test in your neighbourhood.
President of Action for AIDS, Singapore (AfA) launched the region's first mobile testing van at AfA's head office.
The organization will also be working with various companies and community centres to introduce this service to staff members and residences.

It is now easier to get anonymous HIV test, with the roll-out of a mobile service by advocacy group Action for AIDS (AfA).
Launched yesterday, the initiative, the first of its kind in the region, uses a van equipped to conduct HIV and syphilis test. Names, identification numbers or addresses will not be recorded and the process takes no more than 30 minutes.
The annual cost of the mobile service is expected to hit $191,000. The Mac AIDS Fund - an initiave of MAc Cosmetics to support people affected by HIV/AIDS globally - is fudning the pilot programme with $250,000, with the support from the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the DSC Clinic.

Action for AIDS Singapore has launched a mobile testing service that will conduct HIV tests and counselling without the need for the person concerned to
provide personal particular.
This is the first such service in Singapore and in South-east Asia.
Action for AIDS said the aim of the mobile testing service is to make testing accessible to the public and to address a barrier that stops people from going to clinics for HIV testing.

Fearing rejection from loved ones and society if they are found to have contracted HIV, too few are coming forward for voluntary HIV testing.
"Patients who are diagnosed early due to voluntary screening and testing have a significantly increased chance of enjoying a normal productive life. Unfortunately HIV-related stigma and discrimination in society undermines such prevention efforts," said Dr Khor in her speech.
